All About Our Green Energy

Some studies estimate the Internet will be producing 20 percent of the world’s greenhouse gases in a decade. That is clearly the wrong direction. That is clearly unsustainable. Energy can be and should be clean.

The source of our 100% renewable Green tag energy that ultimately supplies our servers comes from a multiple of sources, including:

• Washington State School for the Blind (Vancouver, WA)
• White Bluffs/Hanford (White Bluffs, WA)

The above facilities replace our energy consumption by supplying the power grid with our equivalent energy requirements of 100% green energy from wind and solar energy providers.

Why are all of these places in America you ask? To us here at Blueleaf Studio it makes no difference what country you’re from, there is only one earth and we all share the responsibility of its well being. Put simply, using American and Canadian servers allows us to give you a cheaper, greener service while maintaining reliability, speed and integrity for your server. Something any UK provider was not able to offer us at this time.

We don’t stop there either, our office uses Ecotricity as our energy provider – a company dedicated to spending energy profits on renewable energy sources in the UK. We never use paper in our office unless it is absolutely necessary and have recycling and composting schemes in place for all of our waste!
