Green Design Ethics, Eco-Friendly Services and Environmental Consideration

We hold the environment in high regard and are committed to looking after our planet. We consider it our collective responsibility to ensure that the technology we have is not in any way detrimental to the health of the planet and those living on it.

Wind and solar powered hosting

We offer eco-friendly web hosting at an affordable price. Our providers use 100% renewable energy to power their web servers which is sourced via certified green energy certificates. The energy ultimately comes from a number of wind and solar farms from across Canada and the USA. Although we want to use a local, UK-based company for our hosting, we feel that the environmental policies implemented by UK hosting companies so far were not enough and place the environmental factors of our activities at the top level of importance.

Renewable energy powered home office

We work from home cutting down any commuting and transport pollution. We run our home and office spaces using Ecotricity as our energy provider. Ecotricity endeavours to expand it’s existing network of wind and solar farms across the UK to provide 100% renewable energy for residential and business customers. By using ecotricity we hope to support their projects and spread renewable energy across the UK.

A paperless office

We only use paper when absolutely necessary. All our invoices, contracts, agreements and reports are done electronically. In the rare event that paper is necessary, we use recycled paper.

Office recycling and compost

We recycle everything we can through local recycling programmes. We also have an organic compost box. We minimise on packaging and take it in turns to provide home-cooked meals.
